Our Team

Kimberly D. Johnson RN, PhD, CEN, FAEN leads our team of experts in data analytics, data modeling and visualizations. She provides a unique perspective on healthcare quality based on her multiple roles as a researcher, educator, and practitioner.  

Dr. Johnson is a licensed registered nurse with extensive clinical experience in trauma and emergency nursing, but has also practiced on Medical/Surgical floors, in pre-operative areas, urgent cares and medical offices. Bridging this diverse experience, her research is focused on analyzing quality metrics in all aspects of the healthcare system.

Dr. Johnson has conducted numerous research endeavors focusing on improving care for patients seeking emergency care. She has many publications and presentations focusing on understanding, modeling, and analyzing healthcare systems with many focusing on emergency department processes.

Kimberly earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio with a focus on Nursing Research. In addition, she completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the VA Quality Scholars (VAQS) Program with the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland. During her time in the VAQS program, Dr Johnson was immersed in quality metrics, quality improvement methodologies and implementation science. She led multiple quality improvement teams and served as a coach for the other scholar programs. Kimberly also has post-graduate certificates in both Operations Excellence and Clinical and Translational Science and Research from the University of Cincinnati and a Specialization Certificate in Python programming from the University of Michigan.

 Dr. Johnson is supported by a team of data experts with decades of experience. This team has worked with Dr. Johnson to develop a robust and reliable tool for understanding perceptions in the market place.
